The Liga outfit are reluctant to part with the France international defender for any less than his full market value

Sevilla are looking for a deal worth around €80 million (£68m/$95m) if an agreement is to be reached that allows Chelsea target Jules Kounde to leave Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan

Sevilla defender Jules Kounde scored an absolute worldie to shock Barcelona in the Copa del Rey semi-final on Wednesday.
Lionel Messi was on the pitch for Barca, but it was Sevilla’s 22-year-old centre-back who made the mazy, Messi-esque run and finish.

Picking up the ball in midfield, Kounde rampaged past three players – including a filthy nutmeg on Samuel Umtiti – before he slotted perfectly past Marc-Andre ter Stegen. What a goal.

French defender Kounde opened the scoring on the night by first gliding past Antoine Griezmann’s lunge, then he skipped past Sergio Busquets, before the wizardry on his countryman Umtiti. Merciless.

Kounde was linked with a move to Manchester United in January and it’s said the club are still keeping tabs on the former France Under-21 international. Probably more for his defending (he can play right-back or centre-back) but goals like this are always welcome too.

The list of suitors for Kounde has been cut this summer, with Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea considered to be the only realistic options for a talented 22-year-old.

United have bolstered their defensive ranks with the signing of Raphael Varane, so have already strengthened in that area, while Real are short on funds for big-money signings.

West London giants have moved to the front of that queue, but a deal is far from guaranteed.

Chelsea are set to finalise the transfer of Sevilla defender Jules Kounde after Todd Boehly completes his takeover of the club, according to reports.

The American-Swiss consortium are set to complete their purchase of the club despite concerns from the UK Government regarding the destination of the funds.

As per Nizaar Kinsella, Chelsea will finalise their transfer of Kounde once the takeover is complete.
