Arsenal kick start their Premier League season with victory over Crystal palace after lots of successful pre season friendlies including defeating Chelsea
The gunners are up and running in the 2022/23 season after recording an impressive 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on Friday night.
The Gunners started excellently and Gabriel Martinelli should’ve given the visitors the lead in the opening five minutes but he dragged his effort wide. The Brazilian swiftly atoned, however, as he nodded home from the second phase of a corner.
Palace grew into the contest just before half-time, though, and they were the better side for much of the second half with Aaron Ramsdale making a couple of big saves to preserve Arsenal’s advantage.
Gabriel Martinelli scored the first goal of the new Premier League campaign as he benefitted from a well-worked corner routine – inspired by set-piece coach Nicolas Jover – and then an own goal from Eagles defender Marc Guehi sealed all three points for the Gunners.

Of this significant performance was a smart pass he made to Zinchenko which was perfect in the history of Arsenal football, such pass aren’t often seen in football
Ramsdale comes across as a perfectionist and someone who is keen to keep as many clean sheets as possible – even if his side have won the game.
This was on show following a 3-1 win over Aston Villa last season where the goalkeeper was extremely angry at conceding a late goal and vented his frustrations in the dressing room afterwards, before explaining his downbeat mood: “When you play for a big club you definitely feel it (pressure) and I’m loving it”, he said after his expletive outburst was captured by the cameras.
Oleksandr Zinchenko Came close to scoring his first Premier League goal after a strike was parried away by Guaita after 9 minutes. Headed the ball across the goal to assist Martinelli after 20 minutes in a well-worked set piece. Taken off after 83 minutes.
